Replication Data and Code for: "Institutional and Macroeconomic Determinants of International Supply Chain Risks

Description This repository contains the replication package for the study: "Institutional and Macroeconomic Determinants of International Supply Chain Risks". Overview The study investigates the factors influencing international supply chain risks using a balanced panel of 108 countries over the period 2010–2022. It specifically focuses on the role of institutional quality, economic development, trade openness, and digital government development. The results highlight that institutional quality (governance) is the most robust determinant in reducing supply chain risks. Repository Contents Panel_regression_supply_risks_Zenodo_clean.ipynb: A Python notebook (Jupyter/Google Colab) containing the complete empirical analysis, including data validation, descriptive statistics, and panel regression models (Pooled OLS, Fixed Effects, Random Effects). balanced_lpi_wdi_wgi_egdi_globalgpr_2010_2022.csv: The primary dataset used for the analysis. data_dictionary.csv: A detailed description of all variables, their units, and sources. requirements.txt: A list of Python libraries required to run the analysis. Outputs/: A folder containing the tables and figures generated by the script, as presented in the article. README.md: Technical instructions for reproducing the results. Methodology The analysis employs: Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. Panel regression with Country and Year Fixed Effects. Robustness checks using different specifications of Geopolitical Risk (GPR) and interaction terms. How to use Ensure you have Python installed with the libraries listed in requirements.txt. Place the dataset (.csv) in the same directory as the notebook. Run the notebook to reproduce all tables and figures reported in the research paper.
