Homo sapiens infected with ZIKA virus

The present study was aimed to identify Variants in five late stillborns infected with ZIKA virus from Brazil. Recently, thousands of babies in Brazil were born with Congenital Zika Syndrome (CZS). This syndrome is characterized by a set of abnormalities that may include microcephaly, brain calcifications, and other disorders. However, almost nothing is known about the molecular alterations induced by Zika virus infection in the brain of a baby with CZS, including the presence of polymorphisms related to ZIKA virus infection.
