Unlike traditional filters (LMS, RLS, Kalman), which are mostly single-path or open-loop structures, LSTT adopts a relatively novel design featuring closed-loop feedback with dual-loop separation. Whereas conventional methods such as least squares impose statistical constraints on finite datasets, LSTT expands this concept into a control problem for real-time infinite-length sequences, offering practical engineering value. While traditional adaptive filters like Kalman rely on statistical assumptions (e.g., Gaussian noise and known covariance), LSTT's boundary-driven adaptation demonstrates greater robustness to non-stationary and unknown noise. This paper models LSTT as a linear time-invariant system, providing theoretical stability boundaries for this novel dual-loop structure, rather than relying solely on experimental parameter tuning."
