High iron supply enhances cadmium accumulation in aerial tissue by remodeling root cell wall in Populus cathayana

Enhancing the accumulation of Cd in the aerial tissue of plants, especially those with high biomass, is a sufficient way to improve the efficiency of phytoremediation.We aimed to i) reveal how high Fe supply affects Cd accumulation in poplar and ii) uncover the mechanisms underlying the interaction of Fe and Cd.
