资源简介:
This project conducts a Reliability Generalization (RG) meta-analysis of the Physical Activity Enjoyment Scales used in sport, exercise, and physical activity research within the Turkish population. The primary purpose is to quantitatively synthesize reported reliability coefficients and examine how score reliability varies across studies, participant characteristics, and measurement contexts.
The project includes the following components:
Development of a PICO/PECO framework and specification of inclusion and exclusion criteria tailored to reliability generalization methodology.
Systematic searching of databases and a transparent screening workflow.
Extraction of reliability coefficients (e.g., Cronbach’s alpha), sample demographics, scale versions, measurement conditions, and study characteristics.
Coding of study quality based on criteria informed by Vacha-Haase (1998) and relevant RG meta-analysis literature.
COSMIN-based assessment for studies involving scale development or adaptation, acknowledging that factor analysis reporting is not expected for non-development studies.
Statistical analyses conducted in R using the metafor package, including transformation of alpha coefficients using Bonett’s method, random-effects modeling, heterogeneity assessment, and moderator analyses.
Expected outcomes include:
An overall reliability estimate for Physical Activity Enjoyment Scales used in Turkey,
Identification of moderators (e.g., age, gender distribution, sample characteristics, scale features) that influence reliability variability,
Improved understanding of reliability reporting practices in Turkish sport and exercise psychology research,
Guidance for researchers regarding scale selection, application, and interpretation of reliability evidence.
This registration documents all methodological decisions, coding rules, and the analytic plan in a transparent and preregistered format for reproducibility and rigor.
