VPRS 16851 Doctor's Attendance Books

This series consists of attendance books used by doctors and clinical assistants to record their time spent at the hospital.Information includes:- Date- Day of the week- Signature of the doctor or clinical assistant and- Hours of attendanceSeparate books were used for different areas of the hospital as follows:- Volume 1 Specialists and Outpatients- Volume 2 In-patients- Volume 3 Associates and Clinical Assistants- Volume 4 Medical staff special sessions.Volume 4 includes a list of Resident Medical Officers (RMO) and Orthopaedic officers on the second last page. This records the officer's name and the date they began and finished service. The list covers the period of 1953 - 1967.It is unknown if there were previous or subsequent volumes in this series.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2010/009.
