This marble bust depicts Bryan Waller Procter, a poet who practiced as a lawyer. He was acquainted with the likes of Leigh Hunt, Charles Lamb and charles Dickens. He published plays, poems, songs and other works under the pseudonym Barry Cornwall. The bust was made by John Henry Foley in his later years, circa 1865. This object is part of Scan The World.
