资源简介:
SUMMARY OF THE STUDY

This study systematically mapped how costs are identified, defined, and reported in health professions education research. Conducted as a scoping review and guided by Joanna Briggs Institute methodology, the study examined cost types, stakeholder perspectives, educational topics, and cost-identification methods reported across the literature. Full methodological details, including search strategy, eligibility criteria, and the complete data extraction form, are provided in the published protocol and results articles.

Data Extraction File.xlsx
This dataset contains all coded variables extracted from the publications included in the scoping review. Variables capture:
• Study characteristics (author, year, publication details)
• Professions studied
• Educational topics (keywords, categorization)
• Level of education
• Type of economic evaluation designs
• Stakeholder perspectives (including unique terms used)
• Cost-identification methodologies
• Cost types, cost categories and components reported (including unique terms used)

All variables follow the categorical structure defined in the publicly available Data Extraction Form published with the scoping review protocol. Terminology is preserved as originally reported in the source articles to maintain conceptual fidelity. Studies may appear in multiple categories when definitions overlapped or lacked clarity. The dataset enables users to explore patterns in cost-identification practices across educational contexts, professions, study designs, and approaches to costing methodology.
