资源简介:
A core was collected from sediments in a seasonally dry glacial kettle lake or pond near
Bismark, North Dakota. These sediments are anticipated to represent most of the Holocene
and possibly the latest Pleistocene. Pollen samples were collected at close intervals to provide
the best possible evaluation of the paleoenvironment. In addition, eight radiocarbon ages were
obtained on humates, since there was no charcoal observed in the core, to anchor the pollen
record. Dates range from 4900 to 34450 RCYBP.
