Field data supporting study of temporal changes in microbial diversity from Louisiana marsh sediment and water, October 2012

This dataset includes October 2012 field measurements that complement marsh sediment and water samples collected for characterization of microbial diversity in Louisiana marshes, a component of a longitudinal study. Water samples collected offshore from the marsh vegetation edge and sediment samples collected both inland and 1-2 m offshore from the marsh vegetation edge are supported by meter data for parameters including water physicochemistry and weather measurements, as well as other field observations. Complementary bacterial community composition datasets from October 2012 marsh sediment and water samples are reported separately (R1.x139.143:0018, R1.x139.143:0040).
