Densitometric analysis of the Ponceau stained blot and western blot.  The expression of HSP70 was quantified after normalization of the ponceau bands on PVDF membrane.  C40 and S40 are the control and spermidine fed larave subjected to heat shock at 40 °C.  The immunoblot was densitometrically analyzed using ImageJ software developed by the National Institutes of Health in the United States, and the density of the HSP70 bands in the control and spermidine-treated samples was normalized to the density of the bands on the ponceau stained blot. The density of HSP70 expression in spermidine-fed larvae was measured in comparison to control larvae.
