资源简介:
Vibrio cholerae (Vc) is the etiologic agent of the diarrheal disease Cholera and is endemic in many parts of the developing world. During infection of the human intestine, Vc encounters several immune-activated stressors which it must circumvent to mount a successful. infection. Intestinal reactive nitrogen species are one such immune-mediated barrier. The aim of the study is to identify how exposure to nitric oxide (a bi-product of reactive nitrogen species) changes the transcriptional landscape of Vc, to better understand the molecular mechanisms employed by Vc to cope with intestinal nitrosative stress.
