资源简介:
Common Eastern froglets (Crinia signifera) are widespread along the east coast of Australia, thriving in diverse habitats such as forests, grasslands, and urban areas. This species is an important vector for the amphibian chytrid fungus, especially for the endangered Corroboree frogs. In the wild, it has high disease prevalence and is tolerant of the disease, making it an important focus for ecological and conservation studies. It is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN. This sample is from a male frog, wild caught, in Namadgi National Park, ACT, Australia, as part of a study on the genetic basis of chytridiomycosis resistance. It was collected under ACT Collection permit LT202314 and University of Melbourne Animal Ethics permit 2023-25527-38975-7. This sample was collected by Tiffany Kosch, Melissa Hernandez Poveda, Ben Scheele, and Scott Keogh and the project was coordinated by Tiffany Kosch (University of Melbourne). Genome assembly was conducted Nathan Jue, Jo Wood, Tiffany Kosch, and Melissa Hernandez Poveda. Funding for sequencing was provided by Bioplatforms Australia through the AusARG initiative led by Arthur Georges and Renee Catulo. Additional funding was provided by Australian Research Council Grants LP200301370 and FT190100462.
