mother child interaction and child externalizing problems

This dataset includes maternal autonomy support (i.e., respecting children's perspectives, giving children choices, and encouraging children to take ownership of their work) and child defeat (i.e., expression of frustration, incapacity to complete the task or giving up) rated every 15 second during a five minute challenging puzzle task participated by 101 Chinese mothers and their four to six years old children. Besides, children's externalizing problems reported by parents at the same time point with the puzzle task and six months later were included. Children's gender, age and mothers' years of education are also included.
