Ray-tracing Fast Radio Bursts Through IllustrisTNG: Cosmological Dispersion Measure Catalogs

Catalogs accompanying the paper "Ray-tracing Fast Radio Bursts Through IllustrisTNG: Cosmological Dispersion Measures from Redshift 0 to 5.5" (Konietzka et al. 2025). The paper is available at: https://arxiv.org/abs/2507.07090 The catalogs are generated by ray-tracing Fast Radio Burst (FRB) sightlines through the IllustrisTNG cosmological simulation, producing cosmological dispersion measure (DM) distributions.A summary table listing, for every catalog, the name, method, ray direction, starting points, observer location, number of rays, maximum integration redshift, and underlying IllustrisTNG run is given in the paper. Each catalog consists of a DM dataset of dimension Nrays x Nredshifts entitled DMvalues.Nrays is the number of rays provided. Nredshifts is the number of redshift bins.The redshift values corresponding to the redshift bins can be found in the table entitled redshifts.The catalogs are in HDF5 format.
