First isolation of Y. entomophaga in a human urinary tract. entomophaga

Yersinia entomophaga is an insect pathogen isolated only in New Zealand until now. We report the first isolation of Y. entomophaga from the urine of a French patient. Using whole-genome sequencing, we confirmed the presence of specific chromosomal virulence genes and identified a plasmid harboring a quinolone resistance gene.
