We conducted Chip-seq analysis using NPAS4 antibody together with , gamma-H2AX antibody to assess assembly of the NPAS4-NuA complex around the DNA-damaged genes in hippocampal neurons in vivo following neuronal activation by administration of kainic acid. Here we employed Synapsin-1-Cre-mediated Pqbp1-cKO mice, the model of Renpenning syndrome, instead of GIH model mice, since we may not observe NPAS4 assembly if we use GIH model mice with abnormal NPAS4 proteins produced from inappropriate splicing.
