Primula veris Genome sequencing and assembly

The goal of this study is to assemble and annotate the genome of a common European wildflower commonly called the cowslip (Primula veris). Primula species have long been a focus of classical and molecular genetic research on floral polymorphisms, plant mating system evolution, and the maintenance of interspecific reproductive barriers. In this study we apply a variety of next-generation sequencing approaches to assemble and annotate a relatively complete draft genome for this non-model organism.
