EU’s response to the war in Ukraine.<br>Topics: frequency of the following activities: follow news related to the war in Ukraine, discuss the war in Ukraine with friends and relatives; satisfaction with the reaction to the war in Ukraine of selected actors: national authorities, European Union, NATO, United Nations, United States, citizens in the own country; attitude towards the following statements: European Union has been united in responding to the war, European Union was fast in responding to the war, European Union has shown solidarity with Ukraine, war in Ukraine shows we need greater military cooperation within the EU, respondent feels more European since the war in Ukraine, respondent feels sympathy towards Ukrainians, Ukraine is part of the European family, Ukraine should join the European Union when it is ready, Russian authorities are responsible first and foremost for the current situation, distinction should be made between Russian leadership and Russian people, personally worried about the war in Ukraine; approval of the following EU measures to respond to the war in Ukraine: economic sanctions against Russia, sanctions against wealthy Russians (oligarchs), financial support to Ukraine, financing purchase and supply of military equipment to Ukraine, providing humanitarian support to the people affected by the war, banning state-owned Russian media from broadcasting in the EU, welcoming in the European Union people fleeing the war; trust the following sources of information regarding the war in Ukraine: national authorities, European authorities, NGOs, journalists, social media; attitude towards the following statements: EU should reduce its dependency on Russian gas and oil as soon as possible, war in Ukraine makes it more urgent for EU Member States to invest in renewable energy, EU should take measures to increase energy efficiency of buildings and transport and goods, measures should be taken at European level to limit the impact of rising energy prices on consumers and companies, rising energy prices have significant impact on personal purchasing power, gas storage in the EU should be filled up to avoid risks of shortage for next winter, EU member states should jointly buy gas from other countries in order to get a better price; willingness to take the following measures in order to cut down personal energy consumption: unplug electronic appliances when not in use, use alternatives to car or motorbike, opt for renewable forms of energy at home, install equipment at home to control and reduce energy consumption, add better insulation at home, buy energy efficient equipment, reduce room temperature, take the train rather than the plane for journeys, turn off lights when leaving a room, other, none.
