Under intensifying climate change, coastal saline-alkali ecosystems face significant dual stresses from salinity and flooding, threatening ecosystem stability. While plant-microbiome interactions are recognized as crucial for stress adaptation, the mechanisms underlying microbial community assembly in extreme environments remain poorly understood. Here, we investigated rhizosphere microbial community dynamics of two dominant halophytes, Suaeda glauca and Tamarix chinensis, in Yellow River Delta of China using PacBio full-length 16S rRNA gene sequencing to elucidate structural, functional, and network-based responses to flooding stress.
