Late summer records of Hoverflies (Diptera: Syrphidae) at the Mercantour National Park and its surroundings

Records of Syrphidae, collected as well as observed by participants of the 11th International Symposium on Syrphidae are presented. Many of these are of interest for phenology, as there are few September records known from France and Italy for many species. A total of 1372 Syrphidae specimens from 104 species were recorded in six French departments (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes Maritimes, Isère, Bouches-du-Rhône, Hautes-Alpes and Savoie) and in the Cuneo Province, Italy. Ten records are new departmental records for France, and three are new for Cuneo province, Italy. Data in presented Darwin core: CSV format, UTF-8, compatibe with GBIF system. Beware of apostrophes (') in some locality names or comments, as these may be misinterpreted by R statistical system. ‘1’ in the identificationVerificationStatus column indicates that the specimen could be identified at the specific level, and that its identification can be taken as sure. If there is any doubt, ‘cf’ is indicated in identificationQualiflier and ‘0’ is encoded in the identificationVerificationStatus column, and details are given in the identificationRemarks column.
