Role models, Aspirations and Desire to migrate: survey data (rural Mali, 2018-2019), code and documentations

This data results from a Randomized Control Trial survey (namely, the ETAM study) designed to analyse the impact of role models on aspirations and the desire to migrate in rural Mali (Kita, Kayes region). The intervention consists on showing three documentaries depicting two successful life stories of non-migrants and migrants, and one unsuccessful migrant’s life story. (cf. Mesplé-Somps S. Nilsson B. This dataset provides the 2018 and 2019 survey data, the questionnaires, the consent form, the approval of the experimental protocol, data and code (R and Stata scripts) to replicate the tables of the article. The data have been collected thanks to Réseau des Experts en Etudes Statistiques-Consulting (REXES-Consulting) partnership, and have been financed thanks to Sweden Foreign Affairs and French Agency for Development funds.
