资源简介:

Invasive candidiasis is among the fungal infections that cause more deaths in the world in immunocompromised patients. The main species responsible for these infections is Candida albicans, an opportunistic pathogen found in the microbiota of healthy individuals; however, states of immunosuppression favor the develop-ment of systemic infections caused by this fungus. For this purpose it is essential to go deepen in the knowledge of C. albicans response to 10 mM of hydrogen peroxide. Four biological replicates of each condition were analyzed. For protein identification we employed a technological approach of mass spectrometry, "Shot-gun", allowing a high-throughput identification and quantification of nearby 2000 proteins. Changes in protein abundance after the treatment to hydrogen peroxide led to an increase in many proteins related to oxidative stress response, proteasome and protein folding while few proteins from mitochondria decreased their abundance. This proteomic study provided valuable information for the development of new drug targets against decisive proteins for cell survival
