This dataset includes simulations of recent observations for magnetic and density shelf structures and packages of whistler-mode waves obtained from the Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission satellite in the equatorial magnetosphere and the NASA Van Allen Probes (RBSP) mission. The dataset contains simulations based on the electron-MHD model, which illustrate how magnetic shelves, similar to density shelf ducting, guide whistler-mode waves along the ambient magnetic field with minimal attenuation.
