Who Funds What? Chinese and Multilateral Power-Sector Lending in Southeast Asia

This record contains the replication materials for “Who Funds What? Chinese and Multilateral Power-Sector Lending in Southeast Asia.” The study compares Chinese state-linked, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank power-sector lending in Laos, Viet Nam, and Indonesia. The common systematic comparison covers 2000–2021, with a separate descriptive extension for multilateral development bank activity from 2022–2024. The replication package includes the master financing-record dataset, global physical-project crosswalk, coding and exclusion records, documentation coding, statistical analyses, robustness tests, figure source data, and reproducible analysis scripts. The final core dataset contains 229 financing records and 168 globally unique physical projects.
