Climatic suitability for garlic (Allium sativum L.) by country under current and future climate conditions

This dataset provides country-level estimates of climatic suitability for garlic (Allium sativum L.) under the current climate and future projections for 2050 and 2100. Climatic suitability was estimated using the CLIMEX Ecoclimatic Index (EI), with future projections based on the CSIRO-Mk3.0 climate model under the SRES A2 scenario. The dataset presents the area classified as unsuitable (EI = 0), suitable (0 < EI < 30), and highly suitable (EI ≥ 30), as well as the total evaluated area and the percentage represented by each class within each country. The Excel workbook includes a global summary, country-level data, and metadata.
