Replication Data for: Loyalty or Incentives? How party alignment affects bureaucratic performance

These files replicate all the results in Carlos Velasco Rivera “Loyalty or Incentives? How party alignment affects bureaucratic performance.” To replicate all the analyses reported in the main manuscript and supplementary appendix, simply follow the next steps: 0. create a folder in your local computer (e.g., bureaucrats) 1. Download all the files to the directory created in step 0 2. Untar all the .tar files 3. Set the working directory to code 4. In the command line run 4.1 Rscript required-packages.R 4.2 Rscript replicate.R. Together, these scripts dump all the paper figures and tables in the figures and tables directories. For convenience, the figures directory has two sub-directories for the figures in the paper and in the supplementary appendix (main and online-appendix). The names of all tables and figures follow the order in the paper.
