Alpalga : Phenoliferia psychrophenolica Genome sequencing and assembly

Alpalga is a multi-disciplinary project funded by Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR-20-CE02-0020) aiming at deciphering the biodiversity of microorganisms living in the snowpack at high elevation in the Alps. Red snow samples were collected in Vallon Roche Noire, in the region of Col du Lautaret (2021-06-18; 45.0487314 N, 6.3946644 E, 2318 meters above sea level), plated on solid media, cultivated in vitro and strains were isolated. One of the isolated fungal strains was grown in axenic conditions, with the following reference in the Lautaret Culture Collection: LCC-F001-001. DNA was extracted to perform genomic sequencing. Phylogenetic characterization was achieved based on ribosomal coding region.
