This dataset contains the Catalogue and Distribution of Chinese Plants. It records the family code, Chinese common name, Latin scientific name, distribution area, page numbers of the Chinese edition of *Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinicae*, page numbers of the English edition of *Flora of China*, and notes. A total of 34,060 plant entries from the *Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinicae* are included in this dataset.
