Plant cell growth requires the elongation of cells mediated by cell wall remodelling and turgor pressure changes. Plasma membrane H+-ATPase facilitates cell wall remodelling and turgor pressure changes by acidifying the extracellular region of cells, also referred to as acid growth. Transcriptome analysis was conducted to identify the impact of PM H+-ATPase on global transcript levels and the molecular mechanism downstream of the PM H+-ATPase. 7-day-old Arabidopsis seedling shoots were treated with Fc-A, EtOH (Mock), or low pH buffer(pH 4.0).
