DTS-GSQAPS - Harmonised Geospatial Dataset and Plant Norms

This deposit contains the harmonised geospatial dataset and supporting tables underlying the paper "A Double-Task Geospatial Soil Quality Analysis and Plant Suggestion System" (PLOS ONE, under review, manuscript number PONE-D-26-05355). The harmonised dataset integrates four sources : SoilGrids, LUCAS 2009 Topsoil, the Copernicus Climate Data Store, and an expert-curated plant ecological norms database, into a spatially aligned table of 2,252,328 observations across Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy. The deposit also includes the predicted 10 km Weighted Soil Quality Index (W-SQI) surface used for Figure 3 of the paper, and the full plant norms database (63 species × 11 attributes with a documentation legend). The associated trained XGBoost models, figure-generation notebook, and split-reproduction script are deposited at a companion code record on Zenodo (DOI added once the code record is published). Detailed file contents, column definitions, units, and a reproducibility note for the Spatial Block Cross-Validation partition are provided in the README.md file.
