资源简介:

Description This repository provides supporting data products, analysis code, and reproducibility materials for an independent evaluation of the original satellite-derived modified temperature–humidity index (MTHI) proposed by Feng et al. (2020), using ground-observed air-based temperature–humidity index (THI) as the reference quantity. The study examines two distinct measurement tasks: (1) numerical estimation of air-based THI under frozen cross-network calibration, and (2) within-date spatial ranking of observed air-based THI across urban monitoring stations. The development dataset comprises 849 matched station-date observations from 109 stations across 18 dates in Leuven, Belgium (2021–2022). The independent external evaluation uses 249 matched observations from 19 urban stations across 20 dates in Novi Sad, Serbia (2016–2017). The predefined spatial-ranking analysis includes 197 observations across 13 qualifying dates. The numerical evaluation considers four predictor configurations: LST alone, the original Feng MTHI, LST and NDMI, and LST, NDMI and land surface emissivity. Model selection and calibration were performed using the Leuven development data, with the resulting configurations frozen before external evaluation. The repository supports verification of the reported numerical comparisons, spatial-ranking analyses, uncertainty assessments, and associated sensitivity analyses. The accompanying README documents the included files, their provenance, processing procedures, and reproducibility instructions. Any restrictions on redistribution of third-party observational or satellite data are documented separately. This archive does not constitute a validation of physiological heat stress, thermal perception, or human heat-health risk.
