Electrocatalytic water oxidation is a highly active research area in chemical energy conversion. Nitroso-modified Co-based Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) derived electrocatalysts have exhibited excellent OER performance. However, the real active sites and dynamic structural evolution processes of the PBAs under turn-over conditions remain unclear. This proposal aims to investigate the dynamic evolution of active structures in the Co-Fe and CoFe-Fe PBAs derived electrocatalysts by using operando XAS. We will gain the structural and electronic information of the Co and Fe sites of the catalysts from initial state of dry samples to intermediate state in KOH electrolyte and final state under different applied biases. These results will help to better understand the active phase and catalytic mechanism accounting for superior OER activity of the PBAs derived catalysts.
