Software citations in publications in Europe PMC

Code and datasets to accompany a talk on "Building the Software Pillar of Open Science" at OSEC 2022. The files are as follows:
"sample_7000.tsv" - raw citation data from a random sample of 7000 JATS XML files in Europe PMC published between 2016 and 2021.
"sample_7000_zenodo.tsv" - as above but containing only citations tagged with a Zenodo DOI
"elife_peerj_software_citations.Rmd" - an R Markdown file which produces a report on software citations in eLife and PeerJ full-text JATS XML files
"citations.tsv" - raw software citation data from the eLife and PeerJ JATS XML files
"yearly_software_cites.tsv" - as above but including only citations tagged as software and aggregated by year
"software_sources.tsv" - as above but aggregated instead by source
