CDK6 induces a complex transcriptional program to block p53 in hematopoietic cells. CDK6 binds to the promoters of genes including p53-antagonists. Cells lacking CDK6 kinase function are required to mutate p53 to achieve a fully transformed immortalized state. Overall design: RNA Seq experiments were performed in two individually derived cell lines for each genotype. ChIP-Seq experiments were done in biological triplicates. Two individual input and three chromatin-immunoprecipitated fractions were sequenced. Cdk6-/- cell lines served as control.
