Whole genome sequence of a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus schleiferi strain. Staphylococcus schleiferi strain:TSCC54

Staphylococcus schleiferi is the second dominant species after S. pseudintermedius in dogs, and it causes various infection such as pyoderma, otitis and urinary tract infection. S. schleiferi is also isolated in human medicine occasionally, once the infection occurs in humans, it can produce serious symptoms. The isolation of methicillin-resistant S. schleiferi (MRSS) strains is also now increasingly common in dog infections. In the present project, we conduct the whole sequencing of an MRSS strain isolated from a dog.
