Oliceridine: clinical application and research progress of G protein biased μ-opioid receptor agonist in pain management

Oliceridine, a novel G protein-biased μ-opioid receptor agonist, demonstrates unique advantages in pain management. Compared to traditional opioids, oliceridine not only provides potent analgesia but also significantly reduces the risk of respiratory depression and minimizes common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and constipation, thereby enhancing patient comfort and safety. This paper reviews the chemistry structure, mechanism of action, and pharmacokinetic principles of oliceridine, and discusses its applications in postoperative pain management and analgesia during clinical examinations.
