This article examines the theoretical foundations of fairy-tale therapy in linguistics. The study interprets fairy tales not only as folklore or literary texts, but also as linguotherapeutic, communicative and discourse-based phenomena. The main purpose of the research is to identify the semantic, metaphorical, pragmatic and narrative mechanisms through which fairy-tale texts influence emotional regulation, meaning-making, speech development and communicative activity. The study is based on a qualitative theoretical-review design, including content analysis, conceptual analysis, narrative interpretation and comparative literature review. In addition, 30 fairy tales written by 13-year-old respondents were analyzed to identify dominant semantic-emotional features. The findings showed that the most frequent motif was the struggle between good and evil, followed by fear, love and family conflict. These results indicate that fairy-tale texts reflect children’s moral views, inner experiences and socio-emotional perceptions through symbolic and narrative forms. The article concludes that fairy-tale therapy can be considered an important linguistic and therapeutic tool for studying children’s emotional expression, speech development and communicative competence.
