资源简介:
The goal of this study is to collect baseline data on the prevalence of condom use and the opportunity, ability and motivation to adopt healthier behaviors among Men at Risk in Central America, defined as: migrant workers, uniformed men (private forces), truckers, construction workers, bus drivers and fishermen, all of them potential clients of sex workers. This study design is the first wave of TRaCs with Men At Risk. It pretends to respond to three fundamental questions. Monitoring: What are the levels in key behavioral indicators (condom use at last sex and consistent condom use) among Men at Risk? Segmentation: Which opportunity, ability and motivation constructs are significantly associated to safer behavior (condom use at last sex and consistent condom use)? Evaluation: what is the level of exposure to the Com-Prevention Program: % of Men at Risk going through at least 3 interpersonal communication activities (IPC), one biomedical component (HIV-STIâs test and treatment if necessary), and one complim entary component (attendance to Family Planning Services and/or Alcohol/Drug Treatment Center)? Is the exposure to such program associated to healthier behaviors?
