Genome-wide analysis of spatiotemporal gene expression in developing human placenta. Homo sapiens

While the placenta is a dynamic and complex organ, changes in gene expression patterns of the placenta across gestation and spatial transcriptomics differences within the full-term placenta have not previously been fully characterized. The purpose of the study was to generate reference gene expression map of first (T1), second (T2) and third (T3) trimester human placenta using bulk RNA-sequencing approach. We also aim to study level differences in transcriptome in maternal (M) versus fetal (F) side tissues sections of full-term placenta.
