Dataset is composed of alignments and trees built with diatom (Bacillariophyta) species that were used as input to verify the accuracy of different automated molecular species delimitation models in the manuscript: Comparison between p-distance and single-locus species delimitation models for delineating reproductively tested strains of pennate diatoms (Bacillariophyceae) using cox1, rbcL and ITS.
