CH4 emissions in paddy field and relative code

Jurong Ecological Experimental Station, established by Nanjing University in April 2015, has a eddy flux tower measuring the CO2, H2O and CH4 fluxes. This station is located at the middle-lower Yangtze River Plain, China (31°48’24.59” N, 119°13’2.15” E).The field follows a typical rice-follow rotation with straw incorporation. Generally, the rice season begins in June and ends in late October, with water management practices consistent with local agricultural norms.To assess responses of CO2 and CH4 fluxes to the summer 2022 heatwave-drough, we calculate seasonal (June–August) sums of GPP, Re, NEP, and CH4 fluxes for each year during 2021-2024 along the climatic variables.
