*Median and interquartile range.Characteristics of the 34 healthy (non-smoking, normotensive, without diabetes or heart disease) early postmenopausal women with blood pressure, lipids and ECG within clinically accepted normal ranges who were randomized to oral micronized progesterone (Progesterone, 300 mg/d at bedtime, n = 18) or Placebo (n = 16) in a hot flush trial [1] and for whom forearm blood flow was measured by standard venous occlusion plethysmography methods [23].
