Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, as a medicinal plant, is widely used for its various clinical and pharmacological effects in cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases. It also promotes immune function and central nervous system function and relieves stress. The major bioactive components of P. ginseng are ginsenosides, a group of dammarane-type or oleanane-type triterpenoid saponins.This project generated the transcriptome of root, stem, leave and flower of four-year-old P. ginseng.
