本数据集通过比较两种巢寄生鸟类与一种近缘非寄生拟鹂科（黑鹂）鸟类的脑基因表达模式，探究巢寄生行为的分子与神经生物学机制。重点分析调控亲代行为的关键脑区——视前区（POA）的转录组差异，识别与巢寄生相关的基因表达模式，验证幼态延续、母性照料基因下调、母性抑制基因上调三种进化假说，为巢寄生母性行为缺失的转录组机制提供首个研究证据。 论文“Understanding the loss of maternal care in avian brood parasites using preoptic area transcriptome comparisons in brood parasitic and non-parasitic blackbirds”
