This Board was appointed under the Mines Inspection Act, 1901, as part of the Mines Inspection and Diamond Drill Branch. The Board granted certificates of competency as engine drivers and certificates of service as an engine driver in New South Wales. It also approved registration of certificates granted interstate and was responsible for issuing licenses to test boilers and for the examining of mine electricians. Alphabetical indexes to applicants are located in the front of each volume(19/1260 part-1261 part). 3 vols.
