Staphylococcus epidermis from prosthetic joint infections

Clinical Staphylococcus epidermidis (N=53) isolated from hip or knee prostetic joint infections. One isolate from each patient was included. The isolates were collected from patients at the Lyon University Hospital in 2015-2020. DNA was extracted from the isolates using the QIAsymphony DSP Virus/Pathogen Kit (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany), followed by library preparation using a Nextera XT DNA library prep kit (Illumina Inc., San Diego, CA, USA), and sequencing on a NextSeq 550 instrument using a 300-cycle kit (Illumina).
