RADseq for Trichocorixa verticalis (Hemiptera: Corixidae)

The goal of this project is to gain insights into key ecological and evolutionary processes that might help to explain the extraordinary invasive capacity of the boatman Trichocorixa verticalis (Hemiptera: Corixidae), one of the few alien aquatic insects in the world. Specifically, this project aims to integrate next generation sequencing (NGS) data and demographic modelling to study the invasion routes, dispersal, genetic structure and admixture, and population dynamics of the species.
