In 2023, solar power accounted for the largest share of Chile's installed gross electricity generation capacity, at 26 percent. Hydro power followed closely, accounting for the second-largest share, with a contribution of 22 percent. Along with wind, renewable energy sources represented over 62 percent of the South American country's installed capacity.
