Data for the (1) the distribution and size of each habitat gap along the transect; (2), the % of rocky shore within each bin, categorised by the centre and edge sections of each biogeographic region and across all regions, and by whether a bin is tropical/extratropical; (3) Environmental data for the random forest analyses, including habitat continuity; (4) the species presence/absence matrix; (5) range extent data for each species totally within the transect; (6) species richness across the transect.
